Switchboard Upgrades
Most of the switchboard upgrades that we perform are of a domestic nature.
This comes about where a switchboard, usually 30 years old or older such as the ones above, will require a replacement because either;
1. a customer will want to install an extra circuit into the house but the switchboard is not large enough to accommodate this or,
2. a customer will want to install a safety switch but there isn`t the room or the switchboards design simply won't allow it or,
3. a customer wants to replace the plug in rewireable fuses and install circuit breakers or,
4. the house is being rewired and therefore the switchboard will need to be upgraded as well.
Circuit breakers with safety switch protection is the safest way to go for a home and has been mandatory for all new homes for the past 10 years or so.
The safety switch is particularly important as this will protect the householder from electric shock.
If a potential electric shock is detected by the safety switch it will turn the power off in a heart beat.
